Subject: [Straight Razor Place] Visiting the U.S







Hi all
I'm a guy from Sweden (Europe :) and have just recently taken up S.R shaving. I
bought some old blades on the net and a couple of stones too (1000/6000 and a
3000 Japanese) I'm still shopping for a strop and maybe an even finer stone, say
8000 or higher. So far I've managed to get a fairly good edge using cardboard
and some old charts for stropping
(one has to make do in these dire times :)
I'm currently sailing to the east coast of U.S.A and will be going ashore in
Galveston, Texas on the 18th and Charleston on the 22nd of july.
So if you have any tips on where to find shaving supplies at those locations or
have some you want to sell pls let me now.
The ship I'm on only make short landfalls so I'll just have a couple of hours
ashore each time.
