Dad keeps saying he's not in pain as well - he's been known to keep certain
things to himself though - so I wonder ...

My husband would ask what was it he did to deserve what was happening to him.
I'm not a religious person either - he was. I told him that the God I grew up
with didn't do what he was implying. Otherwise, good people and children
wouldn't get cancer.
People who can't handle this sort of thing usually get out of the way... Can't
say as I blame them, though. What I watched happen over the past seven months
was a horror story. I watched my husband die a slow death. At least, though, he
said he wasn't in pain. At least, not until the very end when the nurses had to
move him around...
