Hi all -
A month ago my dad was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. He
went in for what we thought was a hernia operation and it turned
ugly. He was opened up and a couple of biopsies were done - they were
malignant and closed him up without doing anything. I don't know what
stage he is in but was given 3 - 6 months to live. Apparently when
they opened him up it was everywhere. Because of his age (79) he is
not a candidate for chemo or radiation. Dad is refusing any
alternative form of treatment - he is just basically waiting to die.
This is so sad to watch. I have an older brother but he has chosen to
ignore our situation.
