hi,
I've just joined this group and wondered if anyone still contributes?
I am 38 and was diagnosed with stomach cancer in mid September 2004.
although I was told I had to immediately have an operation to completely
remove my stomach and part of my oesophagus, I have to date refused, trying
alternative treatments in preference.
the reason I'm refusing the surgery is that I also have insulin dependent
diabetes, blindness and kidney failure also due to the diabetes. I don't
want to go into hospital for a major operation and never get out again,
especially since I'm feeling relatively good at the moment and wood
therefore prefer to spend my time running my business at home with my
husband.
My kidney specialist says it would be less painful to die of kidney failure
than stomach cancer - which is what I will die of if not from the cancer
or surgery..
