Hello. My father, around 67, has been diagnosed stomach cancer too,
and has had a stomach surgery done.
My sister told me he had his stomach removed, but an aunt which is a
surgeryst (?) too says she talked with the doctor, and that only 3/4
were removed and replaced with something.
I am really scared as my father has been in the hospital for almost
two weeks, and tomorrow monday it will be one week since the surgery.
I have not talked with the doctors, and I don't know what stage it is,
but they said there was metastases. I have no idea what lieas ahead.
My father told me yesterday that he wanted to talk alone with an
uncle, who is a surgerist too, to help him decide about what he will
do now.
Things point to chemotherapy and raditherapy.
How have you gone through this?
I hope you have managed it, and not alone.
