Hi,
I know how scare you must being feeling. My husband was 45 years old and last
May he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. For him it was too late because it
had spread into the bones.
I think think that the fact that your doctors took part of your stomach is a
very good sign. Focus in the 50 % chance of remission and think that nowdays 5
years in medicine can mean the discovery of a new treatment that can help you
later on.
Keep fighting
Pilar.

on feb 5 i had an endoscopy done and had tissue
biopsied.unfortunately it came back as cancerous.it was very shocking
for me,beingalmost always an older persons cancer. (stomach cancer)i am
a 43 year old male and i felt like i had a lot of life in me before
anything could happen to me.shortly thereafter on feb19 they took two
thirds of my stomach from me.they pulled 50 lymph nodes from me and 29
out of the 50 tested positive.i saw a oncologist yesterday and i have 6
months of fun ahead of me.a certain blend of chemo interspersed with
radiation involved as well. frankly i am scared as hell.my oncologist
seems very positive about my treatment plan. he gives me a 50 50 shot
for a 5 year remission.anyone who has been through this i would
appreciate your,e input on what i should expect.
thanx,
god bless you all.
