on feb 5 i had an endoscopy done and had tissue
biopsied.unfortunately it came back as cancerous.it was very shocking
for me,beingalmost always an older persons cancer. (stomach cancer)i am
a 43 year old male and i felt like i had a lot of life in me before
anything could happen to me.shortly thereafter on feb19 they took two
thirds of my stomach from me.they pulled 50 lymph nodes from me and 29
out of the 50 tested positive.i saw a oncologist yesterday and i have 6
months of fun ahead of me.a certain blend of chemo interspersed with
radiation involved as well. frankly i am scared as hell.my oncologist
seems very positive about my treatment plan. he gives me a 50 50 shot
for a 5 year remission.anyone who has been through this i would
appreciate your,e input on what i should expect.
