Hi. I am sorry about your mother. It is terrible to go through this with
our families.
Do you know if they removed any lymph nodes, and if any were positive?
Always, always get a copy of ALL reports and lab results from all
doctors and hospitals. This way, if you switch doctors, you have all
the records necessary.
If all of her nodes were clean, that could be very good news. Did it
spread to anywhere else? How did they reach that it was Stage 4? stage
4 usually means it has spread either to another organ or to more than 15
lymph nodes.
Get all this info and then maybe I can help guide you more. What to do
next depends on these things.
Meanwhile, she should eat very healthy - nothing that is hard to digest.
She should take a very good brand of multivitamin and try to walk at
least 20 minutes a day. It can be slow, but it should be without
stopping. She also has to build back her red and white cells. They have
shots they can give her.
Let me know...
Best of luck to you!!
Krista (P.S. I'm dating a lovely Indian man whose name is Arindam. I
hope to come to India one day :)
