My mother was diagnosed with stage 3b stomach cancer in June of 2006.
Since then she has had a total gasterectomy and has undergone both
chemo and radiation. I feel completely helpless. She is in the
hospital right now because she has a urinary tract infection and they
had to remove about a liter of fluid from her abdomen which the doctor
says is an infection. Still waiting for more results to see if could
possibly be cancer(please pray for us). My point here is why don't the
insurance companies authorize annual CT's or PET scans? This would
save so many lives and in turn save them so much money. Has anyone out
there had the same as my mom. Does anyone feel the same as I do. I
can't take this waiting game anymore.
