Thanks Sandy. Your thoughts have been where I've been leaning too.
I've done quite a bit of research and am really not comfortable with
the surgery for the exact reason that I already lose nutrition with
the ileostomy.
I keep thinking that because I've been off of Prednisone for 6 years
I don't have that excuse any more. I've just not made the weight
loss a top priority and worked hard enough at it; but now with
having Diabetes I'm a little panicked.
I have a wonderful primary care doctor and have enrolled in a series
of health education classes for diabetics, a few of which will teach
me about what foods to eat and weight loss.
