Hi there......As promised I checked with my surgeon about the type of mesh used to repair my Parastomal Hernia and I am sorry it was not "Alloderm" so I cannot help, except the office said they had heard of such a product but not as a "mesh" material, so I don't really know what it is or how it works.  Do a Google search and maybe you can get more info.  Mu Parastomal Hernia was repaired as I said earlier using a special "wrap around mesh material" and the name of it was "Mersilene".

I will be interested as well - I am about 18 months (just started new job, etc....) (and 25Kg :( ) away from plucking up the courage to have mine fixed.
