Re: [stomacentralint] New Member

Welcome im and Lanka -

Linda and Gibson here. I also have SB and a mobility SD (he is a standard poodle). I also use a powerchair. I have a colostomy and urostomy. I also suffer from several hernia's with several attempted repairs that have failed. The doctor told me that the only way he will repair them now is if it is life threatening. I look like i have a basketball under my shirt on my left side of my belly. PLUS .... I am fat to begin with LOL. My SB is at L4 - L5 and my spine stops there.

I help moderate this group with Sandara, Sandy and Debi. There are a lot of great links in the group that are very helpful.

What type of pouching system do you use? One peice two peice, flexable?

I hope to hear more from you. If we can help you at all please feel free to post. I am hoping once winter hits here in the US we can have our chats again on Sundays. We will keep you updated on this.

Again welcome to the group!

Linda & Gibson

Hi all

I am new to the group so I thought I would introduce myself.  I am a 33 yr. old female with SB and have had my colostomy for almost 4 yrs. now.  I have been having a lot of trouble with hernias and prolapse.  I am in a powerchair due to shoulder issues and have a beautiful black lab service animal.  I have had hernias repaired 2 times now and have had 1 prolapse repair.  Both are back now and my drs. have basically given up and don't know what to do with me.
