Gosh, Sandy! it still never ceazes to amaze me about the fires that
happen where you live. I remember you explaining it to me, whilst we
were talking once. Its so alien for us in the UK because we have
such high humidity here. But to be like that, always having to be
watchful and then to be ready to evacuate. I cant even imagine. And
those poor fire fighters, who have lost their lives. Its all so
sad...sigh...
Im sorry to hear about you being in hospital. Here I am wallowing
about my own stupid stuff when the people I care about are not well,
and going through such bad stuff. See? I am just not evolved enough
as a human being. I strive to be, but never have managed it so far.
Im so glad your feeling *normal* sweetie, that did put a smile on my
face when you said that. Gosh..does any of us here even know what
normal feels like? I know I dont..lol.
I wish you well Sandy, and take care of your lovely self, your such
a great lady. Wise and wonderful.
Love and hugs
Sandara

storm come through the area ingniting 158 fires in the hills and
mountains behind our house. We took pictures and immediately
started packing up. Rounded up all the cages for the 11 animals and
gased the vehicles up for a speedy retreat when we received the
call to evacuate. We knew this was going to be awful and it has
been. The fires are now all contained but two large ones are still
burning. The smoke has been unbearable.
> On June 23rd I ended up in the hospital again for acute renal
failure. I spent 5 days there but convinced the doctor I needed to
go home, if possible, because I was needed to drive a vehicle in
case we had to evacuate. My potassium level was still way too high
but the heart monitor showed my heart had settled down so I was
released. I had a home nurse come everyday to draw blood for about
2 weeks and 3 weeks of twice a week. Finally my potassium and
magnesium were back in balance so I am back to normal....lol
> My computer was going with me so I unplugged it and replugged it
several times over the course of the last month. When it was
finally clear that the fire was contained, we were much relieved.
The containment line was 2 miles from us. Those 158 fires consumed
over 243,000 acres of forest. Our beautiful view is now charred
trees. We had 11 firefighters who lost their lives fighting these
fires. Only a few structures were lost.
