I have two children both lovely girls both sticklers syndrome. I was
just wondring if anyone knew anything about genetics and how far in the
research we are because my girls were tested and came back negetive our
genetic doctor said that didn't mean they didn't have it just that they
couldn't find the right mutation yet. Also is it common for sticklers
patients to have bunions on their feet as my daughter is only 6. I feel
sort of like im walking in the dark here. I had never even heard of
sticklers before my 1 yr old was born. She had a cleft palate. I had no
idea there was anything wrong. then before i knew both my girls had it.
my 6 yr old had to have open heart surgery. my younger cleft repair it
seems an endless array of doctors visits and for 5 yrs i belived i had
healthy children
