Re: [Stickler Syndrome ] Daignosis of Sticklers in newborn --possible or not??

Hi Jacqui, Have your son's eye Dr. check for retinal detachments it is very
common in Stickler kids. My son had his in 1st grade, and now has a cateract in
his good eye. His had a full detachment, found in his yearly eye exam, and
during surgery found tears in his other eye. Hope this helps. God bless your
whole family.

Is anyone having issues with babies and myopia? My son who was diagnosed with
Sticklers at birth is now 19 months old. Just recently he started showing signs
of not seeing right. I took him to the doctor and he went from +1 in both eyes
last year to -4 diaptor now. He needs glasses and the rest I am scared of. IS
anyone else experinecing this or can anyone help me sift through this
information???

Thanks ahead of time
Jacqui
