Hello Sara
I am 33 years old. I too was born with a cleft palate
and had to have speech therapy. Mostly what they told
my mom was to have me keep talking and practice alot
at home singing, games, homework. Try and make it as
fun for your son as you can. If you have a pet have
him read to the pet or to you. I'm sorry that he
feels so angry but as he grows hopefully he will see
that no one is perfect and that if he likes history he
could look up books or on the web people in history
that have struggled but overcame. Have faith and
trust that the Lord will guide you and your son. I
know I wouldn't have made it without that for a loving
mom. Your son has the mom part. Good luck.
