Hello Emma,
It is funny that you wrote this now. It was two
weeks ago from this Wed. that I had cataract surgery.
No precaution was taken to secure the retina, even
though the risk was well acknowledged. So far so good.
I have had the cataract for 17 years now, so I figured
it was time to deal with it. My doc said that the op
was quite tricky (he described it as though it was
working on a trampoline). How long after did your
retina detach, if you do not mind me asking? Sorry
that I can not offer advice. My only advice is to make
sure the reward outweighs the risk. In my case, it was
best left alone until determined necessary and worth
it.
