Hello,
I have read in the Sticklers site that astigmatism can also be a
manisfestation of Sticklers although the most common problem in the
eyes is myopia (+ more important thigs like retina detachment,
cataracts, etc).
Can anybody confirm this? Does any of you have a diagnose of SS with
very high and unusual astigmatism?
Many thanks in advance and kind regards,
Elena.
hi everyone,
i havent been on here for awhile, but i have a question i'm hoping someone might
have an answer to. My oldest child did not have a cleft palate or sticklers, my
next child has sticklers syndrome, which we didnt know about, my third child
has sticklers, and my fourth child had a cleft palate with pierre-robin and
sticklers. We didnt find out about the sticklers until katie was born and then
they told us that the other 2 kids have it also. My husband had a child from a
previous relationship who also had a cleft with sticklers and he was born with a
cleft and sticklers, so it's definitely genetically involved here. My question
is, has anyone ever heard of any behavior problems associated with sticklers
syndrome? I've heard that there can be retardation in some cases, but i've never
heard about behavior problems. My oldest daughter has had severe behavior
problems, as in oppositional defiance disorder and she and her father both have
"mild" cases of obsessive compulsive disorder. Any
info would be greatly appreciated. debby
