First of all, Cassie, I just wanted to tell you that your little man
is such a cutie! He looks like a big healthy boy! Did he ever have
weight gain problems? My little man did. It was a huge obstical and
the trach just robbed so much of his energy and calaries it was
really hard for him to gain. I fought and fought with the doc's
about it. They didn't seem to think it was a problem that at 1 year
he only weighed 15 lbs. 9 oz. I was having a fit of course! Looking
at those pictures reminded me so much of the "trach days" for me and
my son. My heart goes out to you because no matter how well you have
adjusted to it and how organized you get and what systems you work
out, you only have about 5 million more things to think about and
constantly worry about then someone with a "normal" baby. I don't
miss those days at all, but I will always treasure them because it
made me the mommy I am today and it made me and my little man so
close. (Kind of a strange way to look at it I know.) Good luck to
