Jamie, Everyone here has given you great advice seek some counseling.
It's winter time, and lots of people go through major depression at
that time. Let alone having Spina Bifida might give you added
depression. Are you alone? It's the Holidays and more people get
depressed during the Holiday Season than any other Season especially
if you are alone or lonely. Find some friends, hang out with them.
Be busy as much of the time as you can possibly handle.
Call friends, don't wait for them to call you. Call family. Most
people can understand when you tell them that you are lonely or
depressed and you need some company.
Most people that are depress stick themselves in trouble, because
they don't seek out company. When one is depressed they want to be
by themselves which makes them more depressed.
Love yourself enough to know when you need help and get it. Nothing
wrong with seeking help.
If you can't get into seek a counslor, talk to your private
MD...right away. When your feelings seem to over whelm you, make
sure you call someone.
I can't stress that enough. I have a daughter who is 25 and gets
depressed I have to urge her to call friends, hang out with friends
and call family.
I suffer from Depression and their are months that it gets really
bad. I shut everyone out and sleep and eat, gain weight. Than I
come out of it, for awhile.
This year I made a promise to not shut my friends and family out
when things get bad for me.
Please seek help....it's the best advice anyone can give you.
IF it really gets bad, call someone call someone call someone
no matter what the time of day it is.
IF you need someone to call, email me privately and I will give you
some numbers. Just please know you are NOT alone ever!
