Hello to All,

Truly wondering how much childhood trauma, PTSD, depression, etc.,
affect those who suffer from alcohoism. World War II, the
depression, extreme anxiety and fear, cultural and personal all
being causal. In the many years that I have been sitting in
meetings, I found it unusual to find anyone who had not been grossly
affected by their childhood, admitted or not.

The women I work with are all reaching into themselves through
hormonal balancing, therapy, anti-depressants, personal
spirituality. I feel very fortunate to be working with a group of
women who are open-minded. I have been thanked for being a catalyst
for change, and I hope to see several of them taking the same path.

My sponsor's sponsor ...had 50 years of sobriety when she died. She
was an, "agnostic humanitarian." I can hear her kindness, love,
nurturing and support in my sponsor's voice.
