Hello All,

Interesting afternoon yesterday with Debroah from WFS. Amazes me
still when I feel the direct comfort with a woman, I share my
story. We talked of our childhoods, etc., approaches, what works
for each of us.

Contrasting two meetings ...

Friday Night Womens Meeting: many women with less than five years,
rhetoric for the first 1/2 hour, my sponsor said, program, self-
flaggelation, etc. I had finally had enough and stated that I
needed to learn the difference between, "self-pity and grief," and
that this year I was grieving a good deal, and I need to be real.
The meeting dynamic changed. Those sharing did so on a deeper level
and began to cry.

Saturday Morning Meeting: 24 women in attendance, 5 with 23 years
of sobriety, 10 with fifteen plus years, sharing was true and
honest, self-care, community, being real, supporting one another.
Coffee afterwards, discussion involved therapy regarding childhood
trauma. I walked and cried with my sponsor, one of those woman to
woman moments.
