Oh, man! What a quandary!
 
I already committed myself to see the football game at Rebecca Maze's but would love to see Brokeback Mountain with you. I hate football but I'm looking at it as a cultural event and am forcing myself to go. And I'm committed to giving Jeff VanMeter a ride to the party. His truck isn't working.
 
Would you consider seeing the movie another time with me? It would be great fun and I'd love to go.
