How to Cure Anxiety and Panic Attacks   Message List

There are many theories as to what is the best way to try to cure anxiety
related disorders and they range from psychotherapy to medication to relaxation
techniques and more. Each method has worked for people, though not all very
successfully, likely because very few really get to the root of the problem and
only provide a temporary fix; especially true with medication unless used in
conjunction with psychotherapy.
Understanding how anxiety works plays a big part in curing it. Its also easier
to make a better choice for yourself in terms of treatment when you have a firm
understanding of the disorder that you are trying to cure. Doctors often
underestimate the effect that anxiety can have on a persons life and they are
quick to dismiss patients concerns once it is ruled out that there is nothing
physically wrong. Prescribing antidepressants and sedatives is also becoming an
alarmingly common trend in amongst doctors when it comes to patients with
anxiety problems, even though medication alone is unlikely to do anything more
than offer a temporary fix that only masks the problem as opposed to getting to
the bottom of it and curing it once and for all. The side effects of many of the
medications can often even make the anxiety worse; causing the patient to have
to try several types.
Psychotherapy has proven helpful with those who can afford to attend regular
sessions, but this can be a very time-consuming process and often patients will
not continue because they dont see results quickly enough and become
discouraged. Once program that has been around and making an impact is Panic
Away which is a course designed o teach you how to cure anxiety without the use
of pills or lengthy and expensive counseling sessions. The premise of the course
is to teach you exactly what anxiety is, how it works and how to learn to manage
and eventually cure your panic attacks. The fact that it deals with the root of
the problem has much to do with its success since it doesn't provide a temporary
fix and isn't just a simple bandage to mask the problem. Anxiety disorder is
based on a constant and all consuming fear that a panic attack will happen
again. The program takes you through all the steps to help you trust in your
body and stop letting the fear control you and take over until you are
eventually (and fairly quickly) cured of your anxiety problems.
