Well in my opinion the most effective solutions are meds, or CBT (cognative
Behavioral Therapy), or both...Meds work differently in each person, the
benzodiazepines (tranquilizers) work best for me, but many have success with
SSRI anti-depressants. Unfortunately Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), and
it's extreme form AvPD, are the least understood of the anxiety disorders by
therapists, and shrinks, therefore, finding a therapist that understands
CBT, and *more importantly how to apply CBT correctly step-by-step, to a
SAD/AvPD person is usually not easy...
