Your definately not alone. Yes, we're a minority, but I for one know exactly
what you mean by the "daily torture" of having to face anybody. Yet on the other
hand, I'm starving for human contact to the point of complete depressive
immobility.

So here I am 5 months later and not a friend to call my own. Oh my
God!
I don't know why it's come to this. Earlier in my education I had a
few close friends but now I have no one... just a few acquaintances I
say hi and bye to.
If I had to say this to someone face to face I think I would just
die. Don't know what to do! Feel so ashamed leaving my room and
seeing people look at me like I'm Frankenstein's monster (Great book
by the way). Can't seem to break free from my "issues". I think
leaving uni would be the best option and go back to home town. I
can't face the daily torture. Is there anyone else out there with the
same problem? Why couldn't I have been one of life lucky ones??? :(
