wendy, sorry that it took me a while to answer you ;) seroxat is the
european version of an well known american one and i cannot recall
now the name...anyway, there has been much discussion about the side
effects of seroxat and hos loads of people are unhappy with it.
However I have tried with other things before and seroxat seems to be
the only one working. It is paroxetine and after a couple of weeks I
recovered much of my confidence and you pretty much dare to do
everything because you can easily control your fears and anxiety. I
suffered from severe social phobia and on seroxat I can do nearly
anything I used to do without fear before my anxiety attacks started
and my social phobia.
Side effects are not nice: dry mouth, nausea in the beginning, body
odor, sexual problems, very vivid dreams and nightmares, weird choice
of words at times...and when I had to stop with it last year I
experienced bad withdrawal symptoms or a couple of weeks. However
it is giving me a quality of life I hadnt enjoyed for years and for
the time being Id rather be who I am with seroxat than without it and
being a total depressive wreck.
