Re: [Social Anxiety Disorder Support] New here, and hi.
Hi Cheryl,
I too struggle with social phobia and agoraphobia. I don't know if I've ever
actually posted here yet. It's also hard for me to be comfortable, even in chat
groups. But if you are looking for a chat group with more participation, I know
of one. I'm a member of a chat group called Anxiety Neighbourhood. This also
goes for anyone here. If you'd like to check it out it's at,
http://anxietyneighborhood.dune.net/
The program is a bit different as there are commands to learn in order to talk
to people but there are almost always people on around 10:30pm Eastern and on.
I'm not trying to take away from this group because I think it's a great idea to
be involved in as many things as you can. I just thought for anyone who craves
realtime chat it might be helpful. There are also staff online (usually at
night) who will also help you learn the commands and get used to the place. I
myself am one of the volunteer staff. I am known as Mango.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know in case anyone wants to check it out.
Take care,
Amanda (Mango)
