The Speech & Language Therapy Service wishes to recruit to the following posts:

 

POST 1

SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Physical Disabilities, including AAC

Trust Grade 11
(Salary scale: £23,628-£27,588 per annum)

 

POST 2

SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST

POST REF. NO: MIDD86

 

Health promotion

Trust Grade 10
(Salary Scale: £22,516-£26,468 per annum)

 

 

            The Speech & Language Therapy service in Middlesbrough is growing and expanding, and we are now able to offer these exciting opportunities for SLTs who are interested in developing specialist skills. Both posts could be initially designated training posts.

 

            POST 1 will be based in a school with a Unit for children with physical disabilities. It will involve liaison and outreach work with children with similar special needs who attend mainstream schools in Middlesbrough, and will have mentorship and supervision from two senior specialist SLTs, with additional support from a SLT Assistant. NB This post could be term-time only if the successful candidate prefers this.

 

            POST 2 is an innovative post combining some Sure Start work with other health promotion work. It will involve liaison with local nursery schools, and will have mentorship and supervision from other senior SLT staff alongside support from SLT Assistants.
