This is for "third sector" organisations - if you are working for one, you will know what means :-)

If you are not working for one, please pass this on to anyone who might be interested and who is in the voluntary or "not for profit" sector (as opposed to public/statutory or private sector).

Best wishes,

Subject: INVITATION: Adults Communication Coalition England
To:

Dear Friend,

I am emailing to invite you to the first meeting of the Adults Communication Coalition England.

The Adult Communication Coalition England (ACCE) is a coalition of third sector organisations united in their aim to ensure that adults and older people get the Speech, Language and Communication support and services they need to communicate effectively. The coalition will be working hard to extend the recent Government priority around children and young people, by calling for an audit of speech, language and communication services for adults and older people. The attached position paper and campaign strategy give a more in depth overview of the coalition.

The founding meeting of the coalition will take place on Thursday 21st May 2009 at Scope's offices, 6 Market Road, London, N7 9PW between 13:00 and 15:00. The nearest Tube station is Caledonian Road, a short journey from Kings Cross or Angel.

All representatives from interested organisations are welcome and please do pass on this invite to organisations or colleagues who would be interested in this coalition.

Please confirm attendance of the meeting by sending an email to marc.bush@... by Monday 18th May 2009.

If you cannot attend but would like your organisations to be involved please email the address above and we will ensure you are kept up to date.

Best Wishes,

Marc
