This temporary post is available from 1.12.08 until the end of April 2009.

 

It provides an exciting opportunity for an SLT to develop their skills in stroke within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. This additional post will enable the SLT team to develop their role in communication and dysphagia management.

 

This will include delivering communication skills training to community-based staff involving people with aphasia as 'expert trainers'.

 

The post will be part of Stockton's SLT adult service, which delivers a range of community and acute services from its base at the University Hospital of North Tees. The team is friendly and supportive and is pro-active in developing services.

 

Stockton's SLT Service is an all-age service aiming to provide a seamless service to people with communication or swallowing difficulties.
