Talking Point www.talkingpoint.org.uk
“Talking Point is the first stop online for information on speech,
language and communication in children. Learning to speak is one of the most
important skills a child can learn, and yet we so often take for granted that a
child will naturally learn to speak, understand what we say and
communicate. Here you will find all the stages of language
development that a child will go through, lots of great tips, and, if you are
concerned about a child's development, what to do. In Talking Links you
can find lots of organisations that can help, including the local services
which can support your child's speech, language and communication development.”
Communication Help Point www.communicationhelppoint.org.uk
Communication is a central skill for life. It is
vital that all those who work with children and young people have the right skills
and knowledge to promote speech, language and communication development in
children, are able to identify those experiencing difficulties and effectively
support children and young people with speech, language or communication
needs.
On Communication Help Point we will help you to:
·
evaluate
your own skills and knowledge
·
find
ways to develop your skills including relevant training courses
·
find
answers to questions you have about developing your skills and
supporting children's communication
If this is your first visit to Communication Help Point, the
first step is to complete your personal profile.
You will then complete a self-evaluation of your skills, which will take
between 30-60 minutes for each stage.
Best
wishes,
