Post Title : Adult Speech & Language Therapist

Band 5           (Salary from  £20,225pa)

19.7  hours per week

Temporary Maternity Cover 10 months

 

Location: Department of Speech & Language, Gateshead

 

A rare opportunity has arisen to join Gateshead PCT's Adult Team.  The Team provides speech and language therapy to Adults with acquired disorders with the full range of speech, language and communication problems. 

 

The post holder will work predominately in the community with Stroke victims, with some Out-Patient voice and fluency work.

 

Applications are invited from qualified SLTs who have some experience of working within an Adult caseload, preferably gained since graduation, although newly qualified SLTs would also be considered.

 

The Department offers excellent supervision to newly qualified therapists and continuing professional development is supported and encouraged.
