Integrating Research and EBP into SLT clinical practice: where are we now and where are we going?
This session aims to explore the current and future agendas for research and EBP in SLT from a number of perspectives:
* RCSLT: Dr Jan Broomfield Councillor for Research and Development, and Consultant SLT for Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland Community Services will outline the current Research Agenda for SLT and plans for the future.
* NHS SLT Managers: Alison Proudfoot, North East SHA representative on the RCSLT Management Board and SLT Professional Lead/Manager, North Tyneside PCT will present a manager's perspective of the vital contribution of research and evidence based practice in relation to current NHS and educational policy and approaches to "making it happen" in clinical practice
* Research SIG members: Explore with others, where you are now, where you would like to be and what support you need to get there.
* How the research SIG can support you: Finally, take part in planning the future of the Northern Research SIG over the coming 2 years. Set the agenda for the support you need to achieve your aims for Research and EBP in clinical practice
