The Council is in the process of implementing a new pay and grading
structure under the national Single Status agreement which will be
complete by the end of 2007.The salary for jobs earning a basic
between £15,372 and £42,204 is subject to that review and may
therefore change in the next 12 to 18 months.

Specialist Learning Support Assistant

£15,470 - £16,217 per annum, pro rata
22.5 hours per week
Temporary until 31 March 2008 in the first instance
Required as soon as possible, a Learning Support Assistant who will
support targeted pupils with a recognised speech and language
difficulty, in their mainstream primary school. You will be working
in a well established multi-disciplinary Team of Teachers, Speech and
Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Learning Support
Assistants. This is an opportunity to join a well regarded, creative,
flexible and forward looking Team, dedicated to providing intensive
support to pupils with significant speech and language difficulties
across the city.
We are looking for applicants with some experience of working in this
area, enthusiasm and an interest in working as a member of a Team.
