We are looking for an enthusiastic speech and language therapist to join our
team.

This post offers the opportunity to lead the coordination, development and
provision of a service to children and adults with physical disabilities and
associated speech, language and communication difficulties, some of whom require
AAC. The post holder will work in a range of community settings within
Hartlepool and Easington and will be involved in provision of a highly
specialist, integrated service to children attending specialist educational
provision. Experience of working with clients with a range of communication
disorders as a result of physical disabilities is essential as are knowledge and

relationships with education and this post will provide opportunities to work
closely with all agencies to develop the service.

You will join an enthusiastic, friendly and expanding team of therapists and
assistants supported by the speech and language therapy manager, head of
children's speech and language therapy services and team leaders for adults and
children's services. We have a strong commitment to clinical supervision, which
is well established for staff at all levels. We promote work-life balance and
offer flexible working arrangement to all our staff.

When you start you will have a personal mentor to support you in your settling
in period and will follow a two-week induction programme to help familiarise you
with people and places.

We would welcome the opportunity to meet you and hope that you will contact us
to arrange an informal visit. This will give you the chance to find out more
about the post and to meet other members of the team. Please contact Nikki Wray,
Head of Speech and Language Therapy Services or Lorraine Lumley, Head of
