Evidence Based Practice for Speech and Language Therapists

The Northern Research SIG is pleased to present the first in a
series of workshops and seminars aimed at providing information and
support for speech and language therapists to use and contribute to
the evidence base of our profession.

The First Steps in Evidence Based Practice: Interactive workshops on
evaluating the literature, formulating questions and searching for
evidence.

Asking questions about practice and searching for
evidence

At the end of the day participants will be able to formulate an
evidence based practice question about their clinical work, search
for evidence using databases and search engines and critically
evaluate the evidence that is available.
Future sessions will focus on identifying gaps in evidence, building
evaluation measures into intervention and incorporating research
into practice.
