FW: external lecturing   Message List

Hi all
I thought you would be interested to see Carolyn's response - for those of
you not at the last regional managers group - I agreed to contact her
suggesting the issue of payment for external lectureship was put on the SPEC
agenda. We felt we wanted an equitable system of payment.... I am meeting
Nick and possibly Carolyn on 10th May to try to reach an agreement for how
this will work for the Newcastle Adult neuro team - perhaps you want to
arrange separate meetings. I will be happy to let you know what our final
agreement is.
Best wishes
Jane

Dear Jane,

This is not really a SPEC issue as the payment system is set by the
university/School and there are different rates for different activities
(also some visiting lecturers are paid directly and some are invoiced by
their employers).

I gather Nick is arranging to meet with you on this matter - there will
certainly be more flexibility next year as we can budget for this in
advance. Nick could you let me know when the meeting is, so that I can
come along as well if possible?

Best wishes,

Carolyn
