Speech and Language Therapist
in Adults with Acquired Disorders

Band 2, Points 27 - 29
£23,947 - £25,901 pa (dependent on experience)

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist looking to develop
their skills and experience working with adults. Based at the
University Hospital of North Tees, you will work with a range of
client groups in both acute and community settings.

In addition, you will be a member of the multi-disciplinary Community
Stroke Team, with support provided by a Specialist Speech and
language
Therapist.

You will take a lead in developing computer-assisted therapy within
the Adult Service and also take the link role in Adults for AAC
supported by our specialist in AAC.

North Tees provides an integrated Speech and Language Therapy Service
to clients of all ages working in a friendly, supportive working
environment with excellent administrative and IT support. All staff
are actively involved in developing a range of Clinical Governance
activity including:

* Evidence Based Practice
* Competencies
* Clinical Supervision & Support
* C P D
* User involvement
* Clinical Innovation
* Outcome measures
* Care Pathways

The department benefits from volunteer input and user involvement,
particularly in the organisation of our client support group.

Although the post is graded at 27 - 29, we would be willing to
consider applicants with less experience who have achieved clinical
autonomy.

The area around North Tees provides a wide variety of scenery and
leisure opportunities in our four National Parks ranging from the
peaceful wilderness of the North Yorkshire Moors to the tranquillity
of the North East Coastline. We have a comprehensive travel network,
and are within one hour's drive from three International Airports.
