In the December issue of Bulletin (p 23) RCSLT called for nominations for the England Committee to support the England Councillor.

To help communication between the England Committee members, the Councillor for England and RCSLT members, RCSLT is setting up new e-groups on Yahoo (ie. like this one but set so that replies to messages go to all members).

The new RCSLT e-groups will:

• provide members with a direct link to their regional RCSLT representative
• enable regional members to communicate with each other
• focus on RCSLT and professional issues
• enable members to hear and ask questions about the latest professional issues
• enable members to contribute their views in professional debates and consultations.

To join the e-group for members in the RCSLT Northern Yorkshire Region, send a blank email to:

The membership of the sltnorth e-group fluctuates around 100 members and I have been forwarding messages sent to the RCSLT e-group for the Region.

I would encourage all slt-north e-group members who are members of RCSLT to join the RCSLT Regional Group as well. The RCSLT e-group serves a different purpose to this e-group and RCSLT members are invited to discuss professional issues, as well as receiving information direct from College.

May both groups continue to flourish and prosper!
