Specialist Speech and Language Therapists
Children with Physical Disabilities and AAC

We are looking for an enthusiastic Therapist with experience or who is willing to undertake further training, to work in inclusive and specialist educational settings with children with Physical Disabilities.
Central to the role will be provision of specialist clinical input for communication difficulties including alternative and augmentative communication systems.
Dysphagia work will be an integral part of the post (training can be provided). There is support from a SALT Dysphagia Specialist and a well-established Multi-disciplinary Feeding Team.
This post is currently part of an active and supportive Special Needs Team and is based in School.

Join our new team working with the Clinical lead SALT to provide communication and dysphagia services within Sunderland.
We are looking for a motivated Therapist with enthusiasm for working with this client group. You will either have experience or be willing to undertake further training.
You will need to have a good understanding of current approaches and policies in relation to learning disabilities. This post is based with the Clinical Psychology Service.

Generalist Speech and Language Therapist
Mainstream Paediatrics and Children with Learning Disabilities

Grade: Band 1 or 2 according to experience
Up to Spine Point 25 (£21,491)
We are seeking an enthusiastic Generalist Therapist, who is newly qualified, or is seeking a change in job content. We are looking for a Therapist keen to work with a variety of client groups, across mainstream paediatrics (in a community clinic and local schools/nurseries), and with children with learning disabilities in special schools.
You would receive excellent specialist support and supervision within both areas of work, and have opportunities to work with a manageable caseload individually or in groups with other staff members.
