Aims
1. To enable participants to have an understanding of the political context with regard to the future of the NHS and the role SLTs will play within it
2. To provide an overview of the role of the Modernisation Agency (MA) in facilitating service improvement / re-design
3. To share a vision for the future of ENT / SLT services
4. To update participants on the work undertaken by the MA to date and the establishment of an infrastructure to move forward
Outcomes
1. SLTs will be able to develop new ways of working
2. Organisers will identify a ‘cohort’ of SLTs to be supported via a programme to manage and deliver change in their services
3. SLTs will consider putting themselves forward to become regional speech and language modernisation advisors.
