This post provides an excellent opportunity for a therapist looking to develop their skills and experience working with children with autistic spectrum disorders. Based at the Edmund Harvey Centre in Stockton-on-Tees, the post includes work with children with ASD in a range of settings throughout the area.
The emphasis within the post is on differential diagnosis of the client group and the successful applicant will be a key member of the recently established multi-agency diagnostic team. Early Bird has recently been introduced to the locality and is expected to continue to be developed.
In addition, the post holder will be a member of the multidisciplinary ASD working group, which includes representation from paediatrics, child psychiatry, Social Services and Education, looking at best practise and the development of the service.
North Tees provides an integrated Speech and Language Therapy Service to clients of all ages working in a friendly, supportive working environment with excellent administrative and IT support. All staff are actively involved in developing a range of Clinical Governance activity including:
