at Durham County Cricket Club,
Chester-le-Street, County Durham
Friday 5 December 2003 (9.30am-3.00pm)
The CASC Road Show
provides an overview and an update of specialised communication aid technology
for use by people with complex communication needs. The Road Show is sponsored
by the UK
Trade Association of Communication Aid Suppliers (a sub-group of Communication Matters), and organised with the help of Communicate,
Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The CASC Road Show is a
valuable opportunity to learn about communication aid technology ‘straight from
the horse’s mouth’. A number of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of
adaptive devices and voice output communication aids will demonstrate and
provide ‘mini-master classes’ on their latest products. There will be
opportunities for questions and hands-on trial of systems, and lots of valuable
handouts and literature to pick up.

delegates will attend six workshop sessions in which the companies will present
and demonstrate devices such as:
