Dear Kath,
These are my views:
1. Profiles rejected by the North East ROAC: 17.07.03
These have to be rejected, as this was agreed by the ROAC:
Band 6: Profile 492-493RR -
Specialist SLT Team Leader
Band 7: profile 82 - Highly
Specialist SLT
Band 7: Profile 83 - SLT Section
Manager
2. Other SLT Profiles
These profiles have only been issued recently and have not been discussed. If the same problems apply as for the four already rejected, then they too should be rejected. Preferably, they should be considered at the next NAC when there has been time for proper consultation.
Band 6: profile D46R Specialist SLT
Band 8: Profiles for 3 Professional Managers
3. SLT Assistant Profiles
These have not been discussed by the ROAC and should only be accepted if it is clear that they are accepted by Assistants.
Band 2: profile SLT
Assistant
Band 3: Profile
SLT Assistant - Higher Level
*************
Overall, my personal view is it does not make sense to consider parts of a career structure piecemeal. I feel that we need to see all the profiles, and until such time as all are available, that none should be accepted. Our comments should inform the drafting of profiles of a full structure for consultation.
Best wishes,
Liz

Subject: SLT NAC 10 - 12 September
2003
Hi All
As you may know it's the SLT NAC this week 10 -12 Sept and I shall be there to represent the North East Region. Obviously the burning issue is the Profiles and whether or not we should sign all or some of them off or reject them all. As this is such a vital issue I would like views from as many people as possible. Therefore if you wish to let me know what you think, please email me a.s.a.p. at kathfrazer@... I shall be leaving home early Wednesday morning so that's the deadline by which to contact me.
Usually I would rely on getting information via the ROAC but these are unusual times.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Kath
