Re Kath Frazer’s email on this subject (see below)
1. Some of you will get this email twice, if you are a member of the both the SLTnorth and SLT-RAMP email lists.
2.
If anyone does not have access to the SLT profiles,
you can download copies by selecting Newsletter 6 from the list on this page:
http://geocities.com/sltafcnews/
3. The SLT-AFC Update Newsletters contain arguments for and against agreeing the current profiles. Another one will be issued tomorrow, with a copy of the statement that Jenni Kay made for the Independent on Sunday plus info on the Knowledge and Skills framework.
4. SLT North email list members: Kath Fraser represents the views of SLTs in the North East Region (Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Co. Durham & Teesside). If you work elsewhere, you should contact your Amicus Regional SLT NAC Rep – if you don’t know who that is, I guess you could contact Kath and ask her to pass on your views to the appropriate Rep at the meeting – so everyone, please say where you are based if you contact Kath about this.
Best wishes,
Liz Panton

Subject: [slt-north] SLT NAC 10 - 12 September 2003
As you will probably know the SLT NAC takes place this week. I shall be there to represent the North East Region. The burning issue is, of course, the Profiles.
The NAC is to decide whether to sign off some, all or none of these. I would very much like to know your views so I can represent them. I shall be leaving home early on Wednesday morning so that is the deadline by which you need to contact me.
I would usually rely on the ROAC to get your views but this is such a hot topic I feel it is best to use as many channels as possible.
Following the NAC I will be feeding back in the usual way to the ROAC . Make sure you know who your Rep is.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Kath Frazer
