High Level Specialist in Adults with Learning Disabilities
Speech and Language Therapist Band 3 (Spine point 33-35)
£29,412 - £31,810, 35 hpw
We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative Therapist with at least 5 years' experience to lead the direction and co-ordinate the service to Adults with Learning Difficulties in Sunderland.
This post has been reconfigured in order to combine membership of a Multi-disciplinary Team for complex, challenging behaviours/mental health/epilepsy with community provision together with 1 wte specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
You will need to have a good understanding of current policies and strategies and there implications for local services, You will be a resource for and a representative of the Trust in relation to this client group.
Central to the role will be to provide specialist clinical input to address Communication Disorders and Dysphagia difficulties.
This post is currently part of an active and supportive Special needs Team and is based with the Clinical Psychology Service.
You will provide support and supervision to the specialist SLT and students. Peer support is available from other ALD therapist in the locality.
