July, 2009
Dear Members of the Simply Well Collective,
We are quickly approaching our first year of existence! It is indeed a time of celebration! It is also a time to reflect on all that we have accomplished in less than a year. We set our sights on being an advertising collective in our area, of businesses that feature development of mind, body and spirit. We set our sights on participating with our community, and making our presence known through various media and events that are in alignment with our mission statement. We have focused on cross-promotion, and on principles of the collective that “together we are stronger“.
Here’s what we have accomplished:
Huge launch with the Allegan County Fair Parade
Press releases with photos
Presence with fliers
Purchase of the Simply Well Banner
Proud sponsor of the first ever Art Hop
Enormous presence at the Hospice Auction
Taste of Simply Well
The Downtown Motorcycle Event
Fabulous Simply Well Newsletter
Providing links to websites
Potlucks!
If any of us had attempted to make this kind of presence without the group, it would have cost over $5,000 as an individual, not to mention the time involved! In all, we have made quite a splash in our dear ole Allegan.
This is also a time when new leadership is needed. My family is requiring much more of my energy than what I expected. I need to step aside and let Simply Well happen in the direction that you decide. My hope is that someone is interested in stepping up to take the reins. Should Simply Well continue, it will have my full support. Whether or not it continues, you all have my great appreciation for an excellent year.
We will have another newsletter for mid August. Please get your newsletter items to Gerah soon. Those of who owe money should get that cleared up quickly.
Once again, I want to extend my great appreciation to you, your efforts, and your love for our community.
Respectfully,
Martha Meek
