I have been using CS for quite a few years. Recently I was reading
some info online and I am now VERY confused! I have read that there
shouldn't be ANY sea salt used during brewing ... AT ALL. I have been
brewing it with sea salt for years. I also recently changed from 3 , 9
volt batteries to a power supply. I tried a brew session with straight
distilled water (8oz.) , my silver wires , plugged the power supply
in, set my timer for 30 mins. When the time was up there was NO
discoloration of the water at all.
Can someone help me out , I am very upset and confused.

Never, ever, use anything and but pure distilled water and. Here is a
good tutorial:
The reason that you would want to avoid using anything but distilled water
in your process is two fold:
1. An abundance of silver which is not bioavailable is deposited into the
water.
2. An excess of silver compounds are created with the salt and minerals in
the water. This results in too much dissolved silver in your end solution.
This places you at greater risk of argyria, and greatly effects the
oligodynamic properties of the silver ( and hence, its effectiveness in
smaller doses ).
Kind Regards,
Jason

Your problem is using pure distilled water that will not conduct low voltage DC.
When I made Ionic silver which you are making, I took a wet toothpick and picked
up one grain of sea salt and added it to
about a pint of distilled water to make it about 5 ppm. This will conduct low
voltage DC. It is true that you shouldn't add salt, so I am now making
Colloidal Silver using a high voltage neon transformer
with an underwater arc to produce colloidal silver, gold and platinum.

I have been making colloidal silver for some time now and there should'nt be any
discoloration of the water using the method you described. During and at the end
of the process if you are in a dark room with a flashlight directed into the
container, you should see a cloud of yellow particles between the electrodes
though. After the particles have become dispersed and if the concentration is
high enough after a few days the end product should display a very light
transparent yellow color, which is what you want when you are using the low
voltage direct curret process with distilled water only and no salt as a
starter.
There is a direct relationship between particle size and current flow, so the
small current you are generating with the low conductivity of the pure distilled
water initially, will produce a very small current which is what you want,
because that is what is making the small particles.. what you want.
The yellow color will be shown if the particle size is between 0.001 - 0.01
microns, and if the particles are smaller than that you will not get the yellow
color and the water will be clear. Just because you cant see the particles, that
doessnt mean they arent there, so dont worry, and be patient and wait to see of
the light yellow shows up after a few days of the finished batch sitting.
If you use the neon sign method you will get the yellow particles but that isnt
really better and is alot more involved. If you try that way you will have
better luck with one gold and one silver electrode.

I recently bought some 300 ppm 'Angstrom Silver", as I have a fungal
sinus infection that the CS I make has not eliminated. I have seen a
study that found CS needs to be 75 ppm or more to kill aspergillus
fumigatus, which is my problem. I have been unable to make CS with a ppm
of greater than around 30 without it falling out of 'solution'.
'Angstrom Silver' is crystal clear, zero Tyndall effect, and tastes very
strongly of silver. Mixing with tap water or adding a grain of salt
creates an immediate cloud of silver chloride. I assume this is purely
ionic silver or there would surely be some Tyndall. Interestingly it
does seem to work - using it as a nasal spray and in my ears, mixed with
DMSO, triggered a serious Herx. I am coming around to thinking that both
particles and ions have an effect, maybe in different ways.
Anyway, I have been wondering how this sort of silver is made. Is this
high voltage AC? Is this something I could make at home?
I just happened to receive your email, though I have been inactive in the
group for a while. In reading your experience with the 300ppm silver and
DMSO mix you say that you had a serious Herxheimer effect. I am curious as
to how you arrived at the conclusion that it was such an effect and not some
other reaction or irritation caused by the mixture that you are using. I
have never been very brave with the use of chemical mixes that are
recommended over the internet, which do not appear to have some confirmation
by the health and wellness industry in general. I do believe in the
antiseptic qualities of silver and have used up to 18 ppm solutions, along
with D-Mannose, to cure a bladder infection.

I used a nasal spray with the silver/DMSO mix and put some in my ears.
This was followed by drainage from my sinuses, and soreness down the
side of my neck, then diarrhea. I am (unfortunately) very familiar with
the symptoms of this fungus dying. I'm hoping that this stronger silver
will finish it off completely.

The product you are using is a silver citrate. While silver citrate is very
effectively at higher parts per million, please be aware that additional
risks of argyria are associated with both silver citrates, silver proteins,
and silver nitrates... especially when used intranasally.
I hypothesize that the acidic solution results in rapid uptake through nasal
tissues and directly into the skin of the face. So if you must use it
intranasally, I strongly recommend that you solve the problem as quickly as
possible.
However, one question I have is: How were you using your isolated silver
for the infection?
Nine times out of ten, a good quality silver isolate, even with lower PPM,
can be used to address sinus infections of all kinds, provided it is used
correctly.

3rd time lucky? Sorry about this, PC Tools free Antivirus keeps eating
the text and subject of my emails.
Hi Jason,
Several years ago I developed sinus problems, and tried using home made
EIS in a neti pot, which seemed to help, but didn't solve the problem.
So I tried making a stronger EIS using hot distilled water and leaving
it for much longer. I ended up with a dark yellow liquid - about 30 ppm
using a PWT. Mixing this with a little sea salt (otherwise it burns) I
used a sinus flooding technique - using a syringe to fill my sinuses and
soaking for a few minutes, then snorting it all out. To my surprise and
horror, masses of dark fibrous material came out of my nose. I examined
this material under a microscope, and identified hyphae, fruiting bodies
and spores. Comparing photos I took with those on an on-line mycology
site, I concluded this was aspergillus fumigatus. I also sent some of it
off to a mycology lab (I worked in a hospital lab at the time) and they
cultured aspergillus fumigatus. Several ENT doctors (including a
professor who claims to be a world expert on fungal sinusitis) told me
that it was impossible for aspergillus to be causing me any problems as
I am not immunosuppressed or allergic to aspergillus - I have since been
told by another doctor that this is nonsense. By this time I was
extremely unwell, and was fired from my job for 'incapacity'. I honestly
thought I was going to die - I had seizures and episodes of feeling so
ill I didn't recognize my wife, headaches that completely incapacitated
me for days, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, it was horrible. I continued
using the silver and washing out my nose, experimenting with various
things that I found would kill fungus - various essential oils, Rife,
Godzilla, various zappers and magnetic pulsers, ozone inhalation, too
many things to list, spent a fortune and went deep into debt. I also
explored ways to boost my immune system with supplements, rebounding, qi
gong etc. Eventually I added some hydrogen peroxide and DMSO to my sinus
wash mix, and washed out my sinuses as many as 12 times a day. The
amount of fungus gradually reduced and I began to feel better. That
brings me up to date. I now only wash out 3 times a day but if I stop I
feel sicker and sicker. Incidentally, my wife also has the same
infection, but not as badly. We believe we got it when our car developed
a leak in the sunroof and grew mould on the back seat, which my wife
complained about bitterly, but I wasn't too concerned about - more fool me.
There's a study here that suggests that lower concentrations of silver
don't kill aspergillus niger. I see no reason that aspergillus fumigatus
would be any more susceptible: http://www.silver-colloids.com/Pubs/EMSL/Aniger.pdf.
Thanks for the advice about argyria. I'll keep an eye on my fingernails
- it first appears there I believe. I take 5 grams of vitamin C 3 times
a day, and over 200 ug selenium, so hopefully that will minimise the
chances of argyria. Frankly I would rather be bright blue and healthy
than have to live with this illness.
Any suggestions on better ways to use EIS would be gratefully received.
I also have a Silver Puppy to make EIS.
I am now seeing a different ENT who is taking this seriously, and
actually took an interest in my photos of the fungus. Other doctors have
looked away and said "I don't believe in that"! They have suggested
exploratory surgery under anaesthetic, which I might consider - it
depends on the results of CT and MRI scans I have next week. Thankfully
I am in the UK and get medical treatment free.
Best wishes,
Paul H

Dr Simoncini feels that cancer is caused by a fungus and uses bicarbonate of
soda to treat it. Regardless of whether cancer is caused by fungus or not, the
bicarbonate of soda seems to kill fungus.

Thanks, but I have used bicarbonate of soda, daily for years, but it
didn't help much, unfortunately.
I still use a little added to my sinus mix. Aspergillus is nasty stuff.
I have read of people whose houses have been infested with it actually
burning down their houses because they couldn't get rid of the stuff.
After seeing an ENT doctor a while ago who was adamant that aspergillus
couldn't be causing my problems, I stopped washing out my sinuses at all
for a few weeks again, but again I got sicker and sicker. I just saw my
GP who agrees with me and is looking for an infectious disease
specialist who may be able to help.
At present I am soaking my sinuses with a mixture of 300ppm Angstrom
silver, that Jason tells me is silver citrate, with a squirt of DMSO,
which reduces burning and opens the sinuses. I lie on my back and fill
my sinuses with this mixture and read a book for about 20 minutes, then
turn over and soak head down for a similar time. Then an hour or so
after that I do my normal wash out with very dark colloidal silver,
which removes fungus. I have been doing this for 4 days now and only a
little fungus washes out now. Hopefully that means this is working.

You might try adding 2 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) to your sinus
flush (in 8 oz. of water)-- GSE kills most yeast, fungus, Candida ect.-- But,
for sinuses I have had good luck with just saline and GSE twice a day and when
you get the fungus under control reduce the saline to 75% (cuts down on salt
irritation). Saline is one teaspoon of salt in 8 oz. of water-- 75% is 3/4
teaspoon . I use bottled water not distilled because distilled eventually
leaches the minerals out of your skin and makes things worse. Also, BE WARNED, I
would never add salt and silver together.

Thanks J, but I used GSE daily for years - then I found out the minimum
inhibitory concentration for aspergillus fumigatus is 300ppm
(http://bobosplayhouse.com/about_gse.html) which I find irritates my
nose intolerably.
I think that 2 drops in 8 ounces is (very) approximately 1 in 7000 or
about 150 parts per million [that's assuming 30 drops to one ml, and 8
ounces = 250 ml], and the commercially available stuff is already
diluted I think. Also, this concentration will just stop the stuff
growing. It's the minimum lethal concentration that is relevant, which
would be higher.
I have tried a huge number of things, from ozone inhalation to hydrogen
peroxide to oregano oil, and many others. Most of these things irritate
the sinuses badly at a concentration that will kill aspergillus. Most of
them I became sensitised to after a while, like oregano oil. Hydrogen
peroxide at the right concentration (3 drops in 10 mls of 3% I can
tolerate) isn't too bad, but I used that for a long time and it didn't
eliminate the fungus. That's why I am enthusiastic about silver citrate,
which should kill aspergillus at less than 100ppm yet 300ppm doesn't
irritate my sinuses too badly. There must surely be a point at which I
can reduce the fungus to a level which my immune system can deal with.
I know that MAKING colloidal silver with salt is a bad idea, but why is
mixing them later a bad idea? I have found that when I add a little salt
to my dark CS it takes a while, more than an hour, for them to react
(the dark colour disappears - no white precipitate so not silver
chloride, who knows what happens), and without it CS burns my sinuses
and they swell and my nose is blocked for days. Adding even a tiny grain
of salt to the Angstrom silver immediately generates a white precipitate
(silver chloride I assume) which is why I add DMSO instead.
Incidentally, Jason, if you are reading this, where do you think I would
see the first signs of argyria induced by silver absorbed through my
nasal mucosa? I know that the fingernails are the first to show signs
from ingestion. So far I'm not blue or grey externally, though my ENT
commented my nasal mucosa are grey. I'm sure that's from the dark
colloidal (ionic) silver, not the silver citrate. Time will tell I suppose.

Unfortunately, based upon people who have acquired argyria with silver
protein nasal sprays, argyria would most likely first show up on the face
when acquired via intranasal use.
I agree with you; there is no actual danger of mixing CS with salt after the
production process, although it is possible that it could reduce the
effectiveness.
Hopefully, you'll be able to wipe out the infection.

Thanks Jason.
There is no sign at all of argyria as yet, but I will keep a close eye
on my face.
I'm quite confident I will eliminate this infection eventually.
Best wishes,
Paul

Hi Folks,
I TOTALLY agree with Jason.
Using Silver nasal sprays is a big no, no.
Factually, we have found that making a simple solution of salt. (not iodised or
any salt that has been treated in any form) works very well.
Rock salt, (Kosher salt) is second on our list.
What we do is to mix the salt down until the water becomes saturated..ie when no
more salt will be absorbed.
This mixture is then again divided in half with pure water.
To apply one needs to inhale the water via a spray or in cupping one's hands and
sniffing it up.
The last way is the best we have found.
I must say that is quite a horrible feeling as one feels like you are drowning!
Alternatively, and this is our BEST solution, if you live near the sea, go out
away from the beach, away from where the surf breaks and sniff the sea water up.
One nostril at a time. You will experience a burning sensation and again the
"drowning feeling". Remember to do only one side at a time
After a while you will then notice a discharge from the nostrils, blow out all
you can.
this really works and you'll find breathing becomes really good.
I all our lives we have found the following. "Don't give bad advice to folk, as,
the bad will come back and bite you"
Please try this and proove we are wrong.

I've used CS in my nose for years with no problems. Of course I only
use pure CS made from distilled water and .999 silver with no salts or
anything else added. Never had a problem.

I've been using home made CS up my nose pretty much daily for the last 7
years or so, so I'm pretty sure it won't cause too many problems.
My concern is with the 300 ppm Angstrom silver (silver citrate) I am now
using.
I used saline and saline with sodium bicarbonate as Terry suggests
before I started using CS. I agree, this works great for most sinus
infections, colds etc. In the end I made a sort of high tech neti pot,
using an enema kit - saline goes in the bag and I used one of those
rubber things that cashiers use to count banknotes turned inside out
with a hole in it so it fits up my nose glued to the hose. I think that
aspergillus and possibly other fungal infections are at least an order
of magnitude more difficult to get rid of than bacterial infections.
Don't ignore fungus in your home, car or workplace! It could ruin your life!
