the eblast linked below, this morning, we had another urgent message from Dr.
Ron Paul's Legislative Aide, Normal Singleton:

"Bill back on today's schedule"

Yes, TPTB (the powers that be) thought they had the votes to push the Food
Fascism Bill through under a "suspension of rules" (usually used for
non-controversial acts) with no amendments and little debate. To do that, you
need a super majority.

The vote was taken... and they didn't have enough votes!

Yesterday the Natural Solutions Foundation Trustees contacted Dr. Ron Paul's
office asking what the status of the appallingly bad Food Safety [SIC] bill, HR
2749, was and what more we could do to help defeat it. The reply? "Keep it up!"
-- referring to the 636,000+ emails we've pounded Congress with to defeat the
industrialization of the entire US food supply.

Because of our collective activism, Monsanto's bill, HR 2749, was stuck in
Committee and could not be moved forward until protection for small farmers was
written in. You poured on the steam and sent well over 1/2 million emails to
Congress demanding protection for small and organic farmers and the right to
grow your own food -- home, community and co-op gardens must be protected!
Protection language was added (not strong enough, but some protection for farm
to consumer sales) and the bill moved onto the House floor for a planned vote
TODAY!

Your emails are still pouring in. The bill was initially taken off the voting
schedule today. Push back gave us some protection in an otherwise horrifically
bad bill. Push back may keep it off the floor today.

What else can push back do? Let's find out!

Take action NOW and motivate your contacts to do the same urgently. We have
little time left to stop this bill and the rest of our lives to regret that we
did not.

According to the article's abstract, "An unexplained increase in the risk of
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) occurred among recipients of the swine influenza
vaccine in 1976-1977. Guillain-Barré syndrome remains the most frequent
neurological condition reported after influenza vaccination to the Vaccine
Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) since its inception in 1990."
...the onset of serious side effects could take four weeks or longer to appear.
The JAMA article noted, "From July 1990 through June 2003, VAERS received 501
reports of GBS following influenza vaccination in adults. The median onset
interval (13 days) was longer than that of non-GBS reports of adverse events
after influenza vaccine (1 day) (P<.001). The annual reporting rate decreased
4-fold from a high of 0.17 per 100 000 vaccinees in 1993-1994 to 0.04 in
2002-2003 (P<.001). A GBS diagnosis was confirmed in 82% of reports. Preceding
illness within 4 weeks of vaccination was identified in 24% of reported
cases.....The long onset interval and low prevalence of other preexisting
illnesses are consistent with a possible causal association between GBS and

HHS Secretary Karen Sibelius of declared a Pandemic Emergency and said that
"vaccines may be effective" against the Swine Flu. Yet the great rush to
vaccinate without even the meager safety testing which vaccines get (and NO
vaccine has ever been shown to be either safe or effective!) is based on the
untested notion that some vaccine or other "MAY" be effective. Our children,
pregnant women and chronically ill will be vaccinated with an unsafe, untested,

Understand, if the vaccine spreads the disease, as it is virtually certain to

all the 'protection' you have. Think how much worse this would be if we had not
rushed ahead to vaccinate all of you!"

In Canada, although the government was toying with the idea of mandatory
vaccine, our push back has been effective. The Canadian government announced
that Swine Flu vaccination would be voluntary. This is great news UNLESS WHO
issues a mandatory vaccine guidance which is,through the International Health
Regulations, binding on all 194 WHO member nations.

According to Dr. Neil Rau of CATV.ca, "All Canadians will have the choice of
whether or not to get the H1N1 flu shot; it will not be mandatory. Some groups,
such as those with underlying conditions, obesity, asthma or who are pregnant,
are thought to be more vulnerable to the virus and may want to get the vaccine
first.

Keep in mind that the virus causes only mild flu in most people and not everyone
will need or want vaccination. In fact, some Canadians may have already been
immunized against H1N1 thorough natural exposure to infection over the past few
months. Others may choose to wait, to allow vaccine manufacturers to gather more
safety and effectiveness data before everyone else is targeted. After all, the
vaccine should be safer than the disease itself."
